Lugar y fecha de nacimiento. Christine Ebersole (1953 - ) Actress Born: February 21, 1953, Chicago, Il Education: McMurray College; American Academy of Dramatic Arts (acting) An effervescent and bubbly strawberry-blonde, Ebersole has often appeared on stage in musical comedies and on TV and in films in comedic roles. She first gained notice in the cast of the ABC soap opera Ryan's Hope in 1975. Her Broadway debut came in the small chorus role of Agnes in Harold Prince's On the Twentieth Century (1978). The following year, she was cast as Guinevere in the Broadway revival of Camelot, a part she played opposite both Richard Burton and Richard Harris. Among her other Broadway roles are Ado Annie in the 1979 revival of Oklahoma! and Harrigan 'n' Hart (1985), opposite Mark Hamill. Ebersole joined the ensemble of NBC's Saturday Night Live for the tumultuous 1981-82 season. She returned to daytime as the flamboyant Maxie McDermott on ABC's One Life to Live (1983-84) and earned a Daytime Emmy nomination as Best Supporting Actress. She moved to primetime with a brief run as Valerie Harper's friend during the first season of Valerie (NBC, 1986) before co-starring as Barnard Hughes' daughter in The Cavanaughs (CBS, 1986-89). Ebersole headlined and sang the theme song for the short-lived Fox sitcom Rachel Gunn, R.N. (1992). Critical kudos were forthcoming when she returned to musical comedy, supporting Bette Midler in GYPSY (1993) (CBS, 1993). Ebersole made her film debut with a small role in Sydney Pollack's TOOTSIE (1982). Her first substantial role was as the voluptuous, temperamental opera diva Katerina Cavalieri in Miloš Forman's Oscar-winning AMADEUS (1984). She went on to co-star as the mother of a wheelchair-bound boy who is visited by an alien in the sub-par MAC AND ME (1988), supported Bill Cosby in the unfunny comedy GHOST DAD (1990) and appeared as Tom Selleck's greedy sister in the black comedy COMO "SOBREVIVIR" A MI FAMILIA (1992). Ebersole has continually been relegated to supporting roles, usually maternal or romantic in nature. In MI PRIMER BESO 2 (1994), she was the quick-talking boss and girlfriend of Anna Chlumsky's uncle, while in RICKY RICON (1994) (both 1994), she and Edward Herrmann were the parents of the title character played by Macaulay Culkin. True to form, in the 1996 romantic comedy PIE IN THE SKY, Ebersole was both wife (to Peter Riegert) and mother (to Josh Charles).
