USA (1955 -). Actriz norteamericana nacida en 1955 en Brooklyn, Nueva York. Feisty, intelligent leading lady of the 1980s who formerly worked as a model and a DJ for Europe's Radio Luxembourg. Bracco made an isolated screen debut in the French production DUOS SUR CANAPE (1979), but her acting career did not take off until she returned to the US. She excels at playing tough, resilient working-class women, as in PELIGRO EN LA NOCHE (1987)—in which she delivers an effective upper-cut to the jaw of philandering husband Tom Berenger—and BUENOS MUCHACHOS (1990), for which her portrayal of mob wife Karen Hill earned her a best supporting actress award from the Los Angeles film critics. Married to Edward James Olmos since 1994. Formerly married to actor Harvey Keitel.
